The Pen from Signing of the Vietnam Peace Agreement
This pen was used by Secretary of State William P. Rogers to sign the Vietnam Peace Agreements in Paris, January 27, 1973.
The pact signed by Rogers called for United States withdrawal from South Vietnam, release of all prisoners of war, recognition of the right of the South Vietnamese people to determine their own future, and establishment of
an international peace-keeping force in South Vietnam.
Although the U.S. troops did withdraw, the war did not end until the North Vietnamese overran South Vietnam in 1975.
